This property doesn't have a mooring or water craft. However, you can hire a dinghy from us for your stay.
Portage has a good launching ramp and public jetty.
Portage lodge is just down the road.

Marlborough produces around 80% of NZ wines, notably Savignon Blanc. Marlborough is also home to The Queen Charlotte Track (one of NZ's great walks) and many other superb walking and mountain bike tracks. There are many, many options for kayaking, boat cruises and eco tours throughout Marlborough. She is a region with many options and will keep you busy or a place for rest whilst enjoying the views.

NO CAR ? NO PROBLEM
If you have flown Sounds Air make sure you request a Picton drop off at the Cougarline water taxi and their shuttle bus will drop you at the door. The same goes if you have arrived by ferry, make your way around the water front from the ferry terminal to the water taxis. It is an easy 5 minute walk.
Book your water taxi with The Cougarline or Beachcomber Cruises to Torea Bay. Make sure you ask for the shuttle bus to take you over the hill when you arrive at Torea. When the shuttle bus drops you at The Portage Hotel walk up to the road above the hotel then you will see the various letterboxes and follow the road up hill, go past the first turn right and follow the road up the hill and around to the right. The second park on the right is The Portage House parking, look for number 2943 on the blue sign.
Follow the stairs down to the house to the right of the blue sign. The walk up the hill only takes 2 minutes but the view is worth it.
